Meet the Guilds of Requiem
Just like our name says, we have more than one "guild" in our organization. It is our unique way of labeling the different departments and programs within our structure. Department "Heads" are Guild Masters, their Senior most Assistant are referred to as Journeyman, and anyone who works for us is then is considered an Apprentice in all guilds outside of their specific area of specialization. Each Guild has one Guild Master over it, however there maybe additional Guild Masters in that specific Guild, as it relates to their specific talent they bring into the organization. Many of the Guilds have multiple Journeyman that also relate to their specific areas of specialization that is required for that department to function.
We currently have seven guilds and all "employees" do belong to and participate in each of the guilds. We have found that this creates a support network where each of the guilds are working together in solving problems, sharing knowledge, and locating additional resource that may not have been thought of by an individual department that tries to stand alone.
The Agrarian Guild is one of our driving force at Guilds of Requiem. Our organization is built on sustainability and what is "natural". As such, it only made sense to us to start with growing our own food. This then morphed into being able to provide natural ingredients for many of the products we carry in Requiem Market and the brands we support. Through our quest to gain more knowledge on Biodynamics and Permaculture, is how we met one of our Agrarian Guild Master, Cristophe Valentini of Edible Landscapes.
